In March, Max began experiencing the same symptoms as he had prior to his May 2021 aortic aneurysm surgery. After several visits in May, it was determined he had endocarditis of his artificial valve and sepsis.

Mark had a double bypass surgery and replaced the infected valve just 367 days after it was originally placed. Although the surgery was successful, a week later Mark was diagnosed with right leg compartment surgery and required an amputation.

Mark is a fighter. Although the road ahead will be long and hard, he continues to show great strength. He has always been a loving and generous man who has supported countless non-profits over the years. Now it is our turn to show him that same support.
